We are almost ready!
After a month of non-stop work, our café space is fully finished and as cozy as we had hoped. Our builder, Sam (Goodson Home Improvement), has been a saint, coming back in at crazy hours to fit shelves, place fixtures, and even craft a platform for our espresso machine. The plumbing and electrical team from Goolsby’s, lead by Robert McDuffie, has been absolutely brilliant, wowing our coffee equipment installer with its completeness. We are truly thankful for these shining stars.
So why aren’t we open yet? Well, we’ve been hostage to the supply chain, and our Italian coffee equipment has crawled towards us, taking its own sweet time. We hang onto our supplier’s every word, and he assures us the espresso machine and grinders will be here today. It’s 3:59pm on a Friday, but I’m holding on to hope!
Our point-of-sale system has our complete menu, and it’s just waiting to go live after we train our staff over the next week. Once it’s live, you’ll find it right here on our website, and you’ll be able to order ahead online and from the Toast app for dining in or pick-up. We hope to eventually add DoorDash delivery, but we need to work out all the kinks before we add another dimension to our café service.

Our goal is to have our soft opening on September 11th—even if our drip machine isn’t here yet. We can still make 90% of what’s on our menu without it, so we plan to open the doors regardless. There will be little bits and pieces of small equipment arriving over the next week, and we will train staff continuously until we feel everyone is humming along and comfortable with their roles and (most importantly) producing delicious drinks!

UPDATE: We hit a little hitch with one permit, so we will not be opening September 11. We will keep you posted and we will continue to train staff daily. If you see our lights on, come in for a free taste. We can’t charge you, but we can let you sample for free!
